"Let food be your medicine
and medicine be your food."
--Hippocrates
What happened to me is not at all uncommon. Everyone probably knows someone in a similar circumstance. What makes my story so special is that I survived to talk about it. Many would say that modern medicine allows us to live longer...but I say it allows us to die longer.
The photo above was taken of me in 1997 on a beach in Negril, Jamaica. For me, Negril was my refuge from a demanding and hectic life. That's where friends and I would go to "un-wind" and relax. The locals referred to us as "JA-Mericans" and we had many friends there.
After this particular celebration, we returned home and I returned to work. Balancing the needs of my family and the demands as a corporate advertising director became increasingly overwhelming for me. Unable to sleep, or relieve anxiety, I sought medical help.

See, health had always been important to me and I had been very determined to maintain it. Even after having four children, I remained fit and slim. I never followed trendy diets and simply ate what seemed natural to me. It made sense to choose a (fresh) salad over processed "food." It seemed so simple, so natural, and intuitive.
But once I began taking medication, I became desensitized and slowly detached from rational thoughts and common sense. I soon lost compassion for people, and my passion for life. In addition to that, cravings became uncontrollable and I developed addictions. I no longer cared.
This is what it looks like...
Me on Drugs
Medications were prescribed to alleviate new symptoms but with each drug, came side-effects that were treated as another illness. Each new "illness" required a new drug. Each new drug, brought on new "symptoms" causing doctors to assign a new diagnosis or "label" to a new set of symptoms. Doctors called these side-effects: fibromyalgia; chronic fatigue syndrome; bi-polar disease; etc. Endless tests, MRI's and even surgeries were given to find the "mysterious" cause of all of these symptoms. Specialists looked for MS, lupus, Lyme disease, and even cancer.
This photo was taken on Christmas morning in 2002. By that time I was prescribed over 15 prescription drugs to "treat" the side-effects. Tests revealed my liver in distress, I needed a catheter to pee, and a walker to get to the bathroom. I stopped getting on the scale once I reached 200 lbs.
Now bedridden, I decided life was no longer worth living...
There's a great deal of ego invested in the medical community, and they sure don't want to make health sound attainable to the average person. Making the language of disease complicated keeps it out of reach of the public. But health is attainable by every single person. It isn't rocket science. It's not complex. And it doesn't require a prescription. Health is easy, it is straightforward, and it is direct. And, for the most part, it is available free of charge if you invoke the healing power of sunlight, pure water, stress reduction, exercise, and healthy food choices. --Mike Adams
Following my unsuccessful attempt...
I awoke in the hospital...both literally and spiritually.
I began to see hypocrisy everywhere and desired pure and simple truth.
I reconnected to my authentic self and slowly began the journey back to
natural health AND pure joy.
I also replaced prescription medication with natural living plant food.
I MADE FOOD MY MEDICINE!
This is what THAT looks like...
Me on LIVING Food
This photo was taken in 2004 following my youngest child's college graduation party. We were just having some fun and playing with a new camera. It turned out to be the perfect photo to represent my return to vibrant health. I was 47, and 115 lbs once again. More important...My passion for life AND love returned.
The question now...
Are YOU awake?
The CHOICE is Yours...Liberate yourself now!
